Chinese-American Bilingual Writer/Director

Originally from China, Grace moved to the OC, California with her family at 16, then escaped the suburbs to pursue her dream as a writer/director at NYU Tisch. Years of wandering on two suitcases working for international co-productions in Australia and Asia brought Grace home to create her own stories. Grace’s body of work examines the cost of expectations through a multicultural lens. She received her MFA at USC SCA John Wells WST Class of 2023.

Grace’s short film NARCISSUS was an official selection of Los Angeles International Film Festival 2021. Her bilingual feature screenplay OLD MAIDEN’S PRAYER is a finalist at Austin Film Festival 2022 Script Competition and a Sundance Development Lab 2023 second-round candidate. Moviemaker Magazine has selected her as one of the 25 Screenwriters to Watch 2023.
